The Killers Newark Concert reviews
Star Wars In Concert was an event to remember
The concert was enjoyed a great deal by my family and I. The Orchestra was spectacular, and the video choreography related to the music was very entertaining. I would like to say first of all that having spent the money to be seated on the floor, we were extremely disappointed with the view. During the entire concert, there was a camera boom erected in our direct line of sight of the screen. And, it appeared that most of the time the camera was not even used to project any images onto the screens. Imagine being at a movie theatre and someone standing in front of you the entire movie, and you have some idea of how our view of the screen was impeded. My husband and I felt as if we would have gotten a better view if we had paid for cheaper stadium seats and watched the concert from the jumbo screen hanging from the stadium roof. Several of the people sitting around us had the same opinion of the camera boom impeding their view as well. Also, I'm not sure if this had to do with the concert itself or the stadium amenities, but my family and I didn't expect to pay what we paid to sit on the floor to be sitting on cheap folding chairs crammed in amongst the other attendees like sardines. There was hardly any room to move, and the chairs were so close together that there was barely an inch from my knees to the chair in front of me, and my husband had to sit angled the entire time to prevent his knees from hitting the seat backs. But the layout for the props, etc. was displayed poorly, making it impossible for my family and I to make it through the crowd. We didn't even risk taking our 6-year-old into the area for fear of getting him trampled. If it wasn't for the fact that my children are huge The Killers fans and this was a once-in-a-lifetime event with Anthony Daniels and the orchestra performing so well, our family would have left extremely disappointed.
